Popcorn Hour A300 accessing servers on my network

Featured Replies

I have 2 unraid servers on my network. One running unraid 5.0 final and one running unraid 5.0 beta 12a.

I also have a Qnap TS639 on the same network.

The server running 5.0 final has its local master set to yes, the 5.0 beta 12a has this set to no.

When I try to browse shares on the 5.0 beta 12a server and Qnap from my PCH A300 it works without problems, I can browse the shares freely and play the movies without having to enter username and password.

This won't work on 5.0 final server which has lcal master set to yes however. As soon as I click the server name in the network browser on my A300 it asks me for a username and password.

Why does it behave differently? Is it because local master is set to yes? Is it a difference in SMB behaviour/versions?

Please help to solve this problem

i had the same problem with 5.0 final... i thought i read somewhere that 5.0 final requires you to have a name and password to access shares now

i created a new user on the unraid page, and entered that into the PCH, and worked instantly!

Does this user and password "stick" or does it need to be entered every time you acces the unraid server?

Just created a user. Gave it a name A300 and password. But it doesn't show under users.

For me it sticks. Not sure why it's not showing. I assume you hit save?

Use lower case letters.

Thanks, that did the trick.
