Media Portal 2 ... UnRaid?

Featured Replies

Hello, I am looking at media portal, and was curious if anyone got the server side of it setup with Unraid 5. I see there are a few install selections for MP2

Client and Server

Client Only

Server Only

Custom

I went to see if there was a media portal addon for unraid and was unsuccessful. I am going to toy around with this today some, guess server / client on local desktop here to see how it works. It would be nice is unraid could be the server though was my thought.

Suggestions welcome, thanks :-)

MediaPortal will only run on Windows - based on this.  So unless you install a Windows emulator like Wine on unRAID it is not likely to ever work running on unRAID.  I would think it would be fine as a file server for another PC/VM running a supported OS however.
