October 5, 201312 yr I have been having issues for a while with my unraid instal I.e. dropping folder permissions, drive dropping, etc. Fixed some but some still recurring. Thought easiest would be to reinstall. I have copied all the data off the drives, how do I reformat the drives so my unraid thinks the drives are new (empty) and remove shares etc so I can start again? Using 5.0 rc16c
October 6, 201312 yr There's no need to reformat the data disks ... if you want to "start over" just do this ... (1) Backup the current contents of your flash drive -- in particular, be sure you have a copy of your key file. (2) Now reformat your flash drive (be sure to label it "UNRAID"); and then download UnRAID v5.0; extract all the files and copy them to the flash drive; then run Make_Bootable.bat from the flash drive (right-click and select "Run as Administrator"); and then you're ready to go. Now just boot to the updated flash drive; assign your disks; and you're ready to set things up the way you want. If you really want to start "cleanly" on the disks, just delete all of their current content.
