October 6, 201312 yr hi all, i think i have a very simple question but i'm just not sure what to do i have an array with 18 disks. i just added disk 19, brand new and precleared ahead of time I have about 10 different shares, all set to use all of my drives. i think its called high water i want to physically move files off of a specific drive, say disk 13 onto disk 19 but still have the files remain within the share when i look at disk 19 (through disk share from windows machine) it is completely blank because nothing has been written to it yet... ie if i want to copy and paste, there is no 'destination' yet hope my question makes sense! not sure if i'm asking correctly!
October 6, 201312 yr If the folders do not yet exist, then create them manually. Make sure you get them exactly the same (including case).
October 6, 201312 yr Author Ok thanks, so i manually create a 'share' folder, with the exact same name as the share, then make folders under it?
