October 10, 201312 yr sorry this may be a long post.... I started out with a free version 3 drive build of Unraid 5 beta XX to test and make sure Unraid would fit my purpose. I then purchased a Pro Key so I could use AD security only to have AD security not function. After alot of searching on the subject I found this page http://www.eyespytechnologies.net/?p=175 that explained you needed to set up AD prior to building your array, so I tried this with 5 final, only to have permissions completely lock me out of all files.... So I tried again with a couple blank drives, copied everything to the blank drive, percleared all the other drives and everything was seeming OK.... I then upgraded to 5 final and used Midnight Commander to move all my files to the disks I want them on (I now have 8 data disks and a cache and parity disk) This morning I was trying to set up AD security on my shares and couldnt see any place to adjust permissions, and if I tried to adjust share permissions on my AD server it wouldnt let me select my domain as a location.... so I went and looked at the SMB settings and saw that the server had dropped off the domain for some reason, I changed it from Windows Workgroup to Active Director and it showed it was already joined. I then went into one share on the AD server and still couldnt see the domain for setting security, I went into the share on the UnRaid WebGui and changed the security from open to I think Secured, hit apply and the webgui went away and not I have 100% no access to the webgui and if I attempt to open ANY share I get prompted got a logon, I have tried my domain admin logon, my id that is also an domain admin, tower\root and anything else I can think of and all say either access is denied or invalid password. So I have now lost all access to the server and AD security is still not functioning Any help would be greatly appreciated. I still have a little access through unmenu... I am looking at the user shares now and all shares have permissions of drwxrwxrwx

I ran it again through putty connection and rebooted and now I am in like Flynn again I really upsets me that I paid about twice as much specifically for AD integration but cant use it Thanks for the help guys
