October 10, 201312 yr I purchased a pro key specificly for AD Intergration but by all accounts this is a function that no one can get tto work, or at least if someone has it working they havent shared how they did it.... So I have given up on using AD for security and am trying to go back to using UnRaid users and setting perms that way, but it appears that any user I have previously user UnRaid will not let me add them back in So long process shortened up Started with 5 beta XX free, created 4 users one for each family member upgraded to pro license and failed miserably getting AD to work downgraded to 4.7 build with AD perms etc (dont remember if I added unraid users at this point or not) upgraded to 5 final , more AD struggles insued) today gave up on AD and tried to add the same 4 users names back into the webgui and notta I go to the users tab and I see 1 user Root I click Add user button enter my id of Bill (I have tried with a capitol B and lower b) enter the desired password twice hit apply and done, this brings me back to the users screen with only Root. I try a "new" id bilbo set password and click OK and done and I am brought back to the users screen with 2 users shown root and bilbo why cant I add the 4 IDs I want to add? I would prefer to not have to create different IDs for everyone. Are the old IDs stored someplace can I clear out any and all old IDs? EDIT Never mind I just followed the exact same process and this time it worked... no clue why it didnt work before but Im sure I goofed up something. All IDs created as lowercase seemed to work like a charm
