October 11, 201312 yr Not sure if this has been discussed or not, but I was curious about the use of the new webgui and the new version simple features. Essentially, I see 2 thing, the new unraid webgui looks very much like SF and SF changed the way you install plugins to just use the plugins folder. With that said, is it a one or the other sort of thing or do they run in parallel? Install new webgui, put SF files into plugins folder and go. From here are the plugins managed with the new tab in the new webgui or will SF still replace the new webgui? or do I just go with option 2, use base 5.0 webgui, create plugins folder with the SF files I want and just completely ignore the new webgui? Just looking for the right method of doing things, if one way is better than another. thanks.
October 11, 201312 yr basicely, the SF will add some pages to the webgui as always and will not use the new plugin system (which is still not operational or used).. so nothing has changed there (yet) problem is though... the new webgui is downloaded as a plugin itself with the name webGUI.plg and since it starts with a "W" it will be one of the last plugins to load, and thus overriding the webgui again and removing all the plugin pages added previously by SF, SB, CP and others workaround is to rename the "webGUI-latest.plg" file to something like "1-webGUI-latest.plg" and only the plg file, leave the txz file alone otherwise it can no longer be found it's buggy, but it works somewhat since that "new" SF came out several months before the final release of unRaid 5
October 11, 201312 yr actually.. forget about what i said... SF is not compatible with 5.0 Stable with or without the new webGui, you end up with bunches of errors anyway
October 11, 201312 yr Author OK, so the load of parse errors I about webgui and everything else when I went to the main page is to be expected? Therefore, until a new SF is released SF cannot be used with 5.0 stable regardless if I have the new or the old webgui. I guess that really changes things.
October 13, 201312 yr Author I saw there is a suggested fix for SF, replacing a few lines of code, anyone know if that works? Also, if it does, what prevents 1.0.12 from releasing with said fixes.?
