Just Upgraded... Can't Access /Tower

Featured Replies

Hi,

I just upgraded to 5.0 from 4.7.

I get to Tower Login: while booting up, but when I try to access /Tower, it doesn't connect.

Tower isn't visible in my router or Network Places.

Not sure how to proceed (either fixing or reverting back to 4.7)...

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Owen

The usual syntax for Windows would be \\server\share; in this case \\Tower. You may have more luck using the IP address of your unRAID server such as: \\192.168.x.x.

The same happened to me.  Remember to run the permission script, and reboot.  I can access mine by using tower:8080.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the replies.

1. I can't access Tower via any variation... /Tower  //Tower  Tower/

2. I can't access Tower via Network Places

3. It's not appearing in my router anymore -- it always showed up on 4.7, so I don't think this is a cable issue

4. How can I run the permissions script without accessing Tower?

Use a monitor and keyboard attached to the unraid box to log in and check whether your network card is getting an address. It's possible the driver that worked in 4.7 got upgraded and no longer works with your network card.

He is running an X9SCM-F-O on his server and that should work without a problem with 5.0.  It is an Intel NIC for both the ports so there should not be an issue there.

That does not mean something odd is not happening though.

Tried both ports

If I understand the SM nomenclature correctly you have IPMI and should be able to connect via that method. Yes?

Hi Guys,

I'm not sure how I fixed it, but everything is working now.

My server actually has 3 ethernet ports, so it's entirely possible that I was using the wrong 2 (out of 3).

Anyways, things are working and I'll be creating a separate thread with my Unraid 5 questions.

Thanks very much!

Good to hear you got it working.
