Hi all

have a unraid server v5 and 6 hard drives in a microserver

only plugins i use are sabnzbd and sickbeard. The other day i installed couchpotato and all seemed well. today our street had a power cut and upon reboot the server hung on:

Starting system message bus:  /usr/bin/dbus-uuidgen --ensure ; /usr/bin/dbus-daemon --system

so i removed the plg for couchpotato from my flash drive and from my cache drive.

upon reboot i get an error:

/tmp/checkconfig: line 15: break: only meaningful in a 'for', 'while', or 'until
' loop

what does this mean?

syslog attached

remove all add-ons and/or start in safe mode. Check the BIOS config. A SATA drive is configured IDE instead of AHCI.

The /tmp/checkconfig warning is because of an error in the plugins code. It doesn't hurt anything but I do need to remove it. As for why its stopping at that point I'm not sure. The second image it appears everything booted up fine?

Do as previously mentioned and remove the plugins, you can just move them to another folder, and reboot. Then you can manually install & start the plugins or add one by one then reboot to test.

I've been meaning to ask about the \tmp\chkconfig message for some time now but not quick enough to catch the full message (and too lazy to get a camera). It hasn't seemed to have caused any troubles and no posts in the syslog. So, thanks for clearing the mystery up!

thanks, i removed couchpotato plg from plugins folder and all other CP folders on my cache and all seem to be fine now, i just get that line 15 message now

also when i installed CP it installed some python code too, would i need to remove this also now i have no CP?

ps i never used CP anyway,  was just curious to install and test it!

If you aren't using anything that installs python it won't be reinstalled when you reboot. Removing the plugin and cp folders from cache should be all that is needed.

Would you attach the contents of /tmp/checkconfig?  That error is just telling you there is a syntax error on line 15.  It should not be serious though.  I'm at work, so I don't have a copy of that file here to know what it should look like.

It literally is a temp file (and my fault). He wouldn't be able to show the contents because they get deleted at the end of the script. And your right, its not serious, just using the wrong term. Its been fixed now, since it didn't cause issues it wasn't at the top of the priority list and then I forgot about it, this thread reminded me so I fixed it.
