Mailman74 Posted October 19, 2013 Share Posted October 19, 2013 I did not preclear a new 4tb drive and it got the red ball. So I took it out of array and ran a preclear. The preclear only runs for about 30 minutes and never gets past step 2. I am attaching the preclear reports hoping someone will see a problem. Highly unlikely to be a cause of anything involving sectors pending reallocation. Far more likely for a bad/loose cable to cause CRC errors or timeout errors. RMA the drive.
