October 20, 201312 yr hi all, i have unraid 5 Final running and i suddenly have this errors: gzip: stdin: not in gzip format cat: write error: Broken pipe /tmp/checkconfig: line 15: break: only meaningful in a 'for', … you can see, that this is the first entry after PlexMediaServer from /boot/extra is getting installed without errors. i can't see the problematic plugin/script that is doing this errors. after a long wait, the boot is continuing without any further interruptions and unraid is running smoothly. do you have any suggestions to find out what is causing this errors? thank you in advance
October 22, 201312 yr I'd start over with a "clean" v5.0 UnRAID (NO add-ons) ... make sure all works smoothly; then backup the entire flash drive to a folder on your client PC; and then add Plex and test each step. Your issue clearly is Plex-related ... but I don't use Plex, so you'll need a Plex-user to step in and help ... or simply study the very long Plex thread to see if the issue you're having has been discussed in that.
October 22, 201312 yr Author thanks for your answer, are you sure its Plex? cause this habbit started about when i installed istatd. but i already checked it out and removed istatd for a reboot maybe i should do this with plex and see what happens. any other suggestions?
November 29, 201312 yr Author i moved the plex library away for tests but the problem still exists. here is my recording of a 5(!) minute boot time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FNx1Ze8Ya1A& any ideas? unraid is running pretty nice but the boot time with this error is horrible. and my server start often during a month. thanks in advance
November 29, 201312 yr Are you starting with no addons at all? Sent from a mobile device, sorry for any typos.
November 29, 201312 yr Author no not really. what do i have to deactivate/rename so that i can test it?
December 10, 201312 yr Author so big update here: i renamed the plugins folder and tested all plugins step by step during boot ups with a stop watch. 1 istatd is giving this errors during boot: sh: /user/local/etc/istat.conf: No such file or directory istatd: no process killed ... chown errors starting as root bla bla etc. 2 sickbeard is giving this error /tmp/checkconfig: line 15: break: only meaningful in a 'for', … 3 pyload is giving this error gzip: stdin: not in gzip format cat: write error: Broken pipe and during testing (a lot of restarts), couchpotato is responsible that my emhttp is not starting correctly anymore. without coachpotato it's running smoothly. have to fix this as a new problem. i will stop using pyload, because its crap to setup and maintain downloads. will wait for a more easier way. plugins i installed so far: BTSync plex plexupdater plexconnect denyhosts openssh simplefeatures with pretty much all plugins like itunes server etc (boot time went up a lot) sickbeard couchpotato Sabnzbd my boottime is now about 2:27 control panel (reloading all the time, annoying)
