unRAID 5 new folder creation issues

Featured Replies

I have recently purchased a licence key for unRAID and installed 2 HDD, a parity and a cache drive and some apps including sabnzbd, sickbeard etc. I have created shares and was following the guide listed here, http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/Setting_Up_SABnzbd,_SickBeard,_and_CouchPotoato#Using_the_Applications and when it came to adding new folders to the Media share I have some odd issues. I am trying to create the new folders from within Windows 7 explorer. The first issue is that I get an IO conflict error when trying to create a new folder indicating it did not work, I then go back into Media share and there it is. I then try to rename the folder to TV and get the following error, "This action cannot be completed because the folder or a file in it is open in another program. Close the folder and try again." If I then try to create another new folder in the Media share then I get this error, "You need permission to perform this action. Media"

So as of now I cannot create folders within my shares, I am confused.

I have been reading further info and decided to run newperms /mnt/disk1 and on disk2, interestingly my disk1 still came back as Read Only for everything while my disk2 did not. I then tested by writing new files in windows explorer to disk 2 and they all worked while on disk1 I had permission errors. I now need to find a way to check my disk1

I managed to fix this issue, disk1 had an error and running reiserfsck found the error and advised me how to fix it, once this was done I restarted the array and I am now able to add folders to disk1.
