4.5.1Beta Can't see files under NFS

Featured Replies

I was delighted to hear that we finally have NFS available so updated to 4.5.1

The instructions are pretty clear and I'm sure I've got the right but I can't seem to connect, or at least I can't see any files on an NFS connection.

My stuttery old TVix4500 box has a choice of NFS or SMB and I've set it correctly, when I connect to an NFS volume a connection appears to be successful (there's no "Couldn't Connect to Disk " message) but there are no files visible.  I can connect via NFS software on a PC but I'm trying to get to a position where I don't have to leave a PC on to use it.

When I try to connect via NFS from my Mac I get "Could not connect to the server because the name or password is not correct".

I've tried connecting using the Tower name and the IP Address and I've also tried using *(rw) and *(rw,insecure).

Does anyone have an idea what may be wrong?

Thanks,

Mark.

PS.  Is it time for a v4.4/v4.5 support area?
