openssh installed via unMENU not loading at boot

Recommended Posts

It is set to automatically reinstall upon boot in unMENU, and

openssh-5.1p1-i486-1.tgz.auto_install

is right where it should be in

/boot/packages

.

If I telnet in after boot and manually run

openssh-5.1p1-i486-1.tgz.auto_install

, ssh then works.

I assume it is probably this old issue:

http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=12706.msg123281#msg123281

but since that post is 2+ years old and I don't see anyone else talking about this, I'm checking in here before altering

auto_install

to cure it.

Can anyone please advise?  Thanks very much for the help.

This probably has to do with the order the packages get installed, and openssl not being installed before openssh. This is an annoying issue which cropped up for me too after the last reboot (no idea what changed).

I got fed up with it and just installed the OpenSSH plugin by overbyrn. Works like a charm, installs in seconds.
