October 30, 201312 yr hi purchased a licence after 5 final was released so decided to install sabnzbd onto my unraid hp microserver. I want it all installed on the one disk if poss so only one is spinning up most of the time. i've got influencers sab plugin installled at "/usr/local/sabnzbd" with the data drive at "/mnt/cache/appdata/sabnzbd" everything works so i'm happy with that aspect. i know how to setup sab as have been using it for a while elsewhere, i have it setup with my servers etc so i can access the web gui and add nzb's to the queue which it then downloads no problem. i also have the dropbox plugin installed as this how i like to add my nzb's, i can then drop one into dropbox from my phone or anywhere really and the watched folder on the server will pick them up. I may setup sb and cp at a later date but want this working first, not all things i download fall into tv or movie. i did have the sab folders at " /mnt/user/appdata/sabnzbd/Downloads/complete" & "/mnt/user/appdata/sabnzbd/Downloads/incomplete" which worked but this is where the confusion lies for me, how do i then access these files? i've read about the mover script but i cannot understand how it would move these files and where it would put them? i've changed the sabnzbd complete folder to "/mnt/disk2/complete" for now so that i can access the folders through the network, but this is keeping more than one disk spinning. many thanks for your time
October 30, 201312 yr The share that sabnzbd resides on should be cache only and the mover script should NOT move it. You would do this by going into the share settings and the setting named "Cache disk" should be set to "only". Doing this will keep all files in 'appdata' on the cache drive. The share can still be exported like a normal share and you would interact with it through that share. Of course you could setup categories which will work fine if you choose to setup sb and cp, but nzb's grabbed from dropbox will be set with the default complete folder. Basically anything in here you have to manually move to the final destination. If you are having trouble because of permissions, make sure the folder permissions setting is sab is open enough for you to access.
October 31, 201312 yr You should have appdata set as a cache only user share so the mover script will not move those files. It will only move files on the cache for user shares allowed to use the array. You would have to go into that directory and manually move the files to their final user share destination. This could keep them on the cache drive and let the mover move them to the array disks or this could be a move directly to the array disks. You could create another user share called Downloads and move all completed ones there. This could be a cache only share as well that you manually sort or it could be the final destination and you just allow the files to be moved to the array when the mover runs. I move the completed to the proper directory in /mnt/user/Movies or /mnt/user/TV_Shows and since those shares are set to use a cache disk, unRAID first puts the files to the cache and then the mover puts them onto the array. I can access the completed stuff in the TV or Movies user shares over the network once it's completed downloading. You could put the completed into any share set to use the cache only or a normal share using the array with the cache drive enabled and the same would happen. I don't add enough to full the cache drive in a week so I only run the mover once a week on my system.
