When I try to download the latest stable version (unRAIDServer-5.0-i386.zip) I get incomplete downloads, sometimes it's around 1 mb but sometimes even less.

Is anyone else experiencing the same problems?  Is there a mirror available ?

    I've never had this problem before...  Why whould a Download Manager or whatever tool solve my problem?

    I have download manager software for use with other problematic sites.

    Lately, I've found that the builtin CHROME download manager is adequate.

    On many sites, it seems to allow 'restart a download from where it was stopped' even from the browser.

    (for the stalled downloads, look in the Chrome Download window.)
