Multiple torrent clients

Featured Replies

Is it possible to have 2 instances of transmission running at the same time?

Between the hours of 1am and 7am my ISP doesn't monitor traffic so I want to set up one client to only download during that time and then I'll use the other client as normal for items I want ASAP.

Is this possible or is there a simple way to do it?

Thanks

It's possible depending on your technical ability.

I used to do this with rtorrent I had two different rtorrents running on two different ports and drives.

I would set two different tree's for each of the torrent clients.

Then set each configuration to work with one port.

Set client one to port nnnnn

set client two to port mmmmm

Route both ports to your destination machine and fire up each client at your desired time.
