Removing a HDD from an array. [solved]

Dummy me put in 2 HDDs in my array. 1 was intended as a parity drive. The other was intended to replace a possible bad HDD. The parity install went fine. When I went to disable the other HDD, I get the "drive is missing" notice. The 2nd HDD has no data on it. How do I get around this?

    Yes, but run a parity check first and last.
