I am just setting my new system up and with 2 drives in I am getting 44 degrees (celcius).  If I add a 3rd it overheats within 20 mins and the system starts yelling at me when it reaches 52 degrees.

 

I've adjusted the 3 dials on the back of the NAS to the extreme positions in both directions. ???

 

I don't see any documentation that came with this regarding temp control.  Any ideas why I am overheating so easily?

Inspection inside the case... I found 1 lonely wire that was not plugged in like his neighbors.  Plugged it in and Viola!... AIR FLOW.
