Will unRAID recognize a hardware raid array volume for a Cache drive

If I used 5 ssd drives and built a raid array can I use the array for my cache drive?

 

I can use a m1015 or motherboard controller to build the array 

 

Anyone done this?

    If the array is/was built with an Areca or 3Ware card, unRAID sees it as a drive.

    I do not know of any other compatible hardware raid arrays that unRAID can see.

    it's an old topic but, unRAID will see the drive from a 3ware controller... but will it report the raid health?
