but the 4TB seems to have loading unloading issue which cause premature death...

Just ordered some tonight myself.  What loading unloading issue?  I know the greens had a head auto parking problem for some people but I never had that problem myself and I didn't adjust anything on them (my 2TB greens) either.

users reporting that using this hdd in some nas causing them to keep parking and unparking unnecessary . sounds like a firmware issue.

Does.  But it could also be a user problem in that they have their software configured to scan the drives too frequently.  I know a lot of people use to say the same of the green drives and would change the idle settings as the first thing they did.  I left mine completely alone and except for a refurb'd drive that WD sent me on an RMA I never had LCCs over the 10s of thousands on any of the drives.  My power on hours were usually the same as or half again greater than the LCC count.  With my 2TB and 3TB WD Reds my power on hours are 2 to 3 times the LCC count.  Will watch my just ordered 4TB WD Reds just in case however.

anyone using 4220 norco casing? mine is still in the box sleeping..

many have complaint about the power connector on the backplanes which causes their hardwares to be fried.

so to be on the safe side, I've to double check on the power connector on the backplane, right?

could anyone tell me more specific about this issue and what do i need to check on the wiring.

thanks!
