Provide an unprotected webpage with server status

Featured Replies

I need to have the GUI locked for different reasons - many of us do.

To be able to monitor the basics of my unRAID server without having to log in each time,

I would suggest to provide a webpage that is unprotected. Just for monitoring purposes without any switches.

Any thoughts on this?

I've always liked the idea of a tray-based monitor....something really simple...akin to a traffic light.  GREEN=AOK, YELLOW=should check-in on me, RED=something's failed or on fire.  Wouldn't even really need to be a formatted webpage- just something capable of serving up a status byte or token of some sort...that could be checked by a remote tray app or Android app...
