mITX Gaming and Nas Case (9 3.5 drive)

Featured Replies

What kind of interest exists in the community for the following?

Sent to BitFenix, Lian-Li, Fractal Design, and  Cooler Master on 11/27.  My Fingers are crossed:

I have an idea for a case that caters to both GAMING and NAS.

In the same dimensions the BitFenix Prodigy you can fit 9 hot swappable 3.5 Hard drives with crossflow cooling utilizing a custom 140mm fan shroud, backplate, and air channel.  The top conceals a slot loading optical drive.

The PSU tray can be modified for easier wire management than the current gen BitFenix Prodigy.

This gives just enough room to allow even the largest GPUs on the market to be installed.

What would it take to see you place this on the market?

Very cool design. I would certainly be interested (depending on price) if it were to be produced. Good luck!

Thanks Dirtysanchez.

If no manufactures want to build it... I will likely make 2 of my own possibly using 3 3 in 2 or 2 5 in 3 iStarUSA hot swap racks.

I have 2 fractal design cases, but these would be SO MUCH smaller.

That's one reason I love my Lian Li case. I'm limited to 7 3.5" drives (which is enough for me), but it's just so small!

I REALLY like the Q25 - this is just a little bit bigger than that, allows for LARGE air coolers and full sized graphic cards :)
