After powercut suddenly extremely bad speeds on the array

HI there,

 

I had yesterday an unexpected powercut which triggered a parity check, this parity check was running with version 5.0.3 but the speed was 2.5mb. I even rebooted the server and booted it with safe mode just to ensure it was not one of the many plugins I have installed. But the speed was the same. I can still play media files with little issues, however when I try to copy any files to the system it says that the network location is no longer available. Now my home is completely cat 6 networked so I know that i cannot be my network. None of the drives are shown as failed. So I am puzzled. Help is greatly appreciated.
