Just waiting for my key for the PRO version to arrive and I fired up my basic one just to mess around with it.

 

I've managed to create user shares but the option under: USERS>SECURITY>USER LEVEL SECURITY is set to DISABLED

 

How can I enable it? I've scanned the forums and haven't found anything, am I missing some step here? Do I have to shut down the array and reboot it? I have created user shares already if that matters.

 

You have to stop the array, enabled it, start the array, create user shares.

User security is not available on the basic version.  It will be there once you get your "pro" key file in place and re-start your array.
