XBMC [Xbox] Users - Anyone have this problem?

Featured Replies

I use XBMC (Xbox) connected to my unRAID server.  I was running an older version (About 1 year old) then upgraded to a newer version about 3 months ago.  Since that time, my HDD's are being spun up as I browse my library (this didn't happen before). Also, when browsing with the unRAID server off, I can't switch between movies/tvshows (XBMC cycles like it's doing something but that something never happens).  If I unplug the Xbox network cable from the network switch, I can browse the XBMC library perfectly.  What I don't understand is why XBMC is trying to access the unRAID when all the info is stored in the DB and the thumbs are cached locally?  Very odd!

Has anyone using XBMC on the Xbox noticed this?

At about the same time as my XBMC upgrade, I also upgraded to unRAID 4.3.3.  Could this version of unRAID somehow be the issue.  I have a post on the XBMC forum about this, but I'd like to hear from anyone else with a similar setup (using unRAID of course) that can offer a perspective and whether unRAID could be the issue (although I don't see how)?  I really want to get to the bottom of this as it's really bugging me!!!!!!  >:(  Thx
