can't move files around on unRAID, says there's no room, but there is room

Featured Replies

Never seen this before.  Not sure what might be causing it.  I tried to copy some files from one folder to a subfolder under that folder, but windows tells me there is no room.

If I create another subfolder, I can move 2 files into that folder, then windows complains again.

I restarted unRAID, but the problem persists.  Before I restarted, the GUI became totally unresponsive, as did all the folders in windows explorer.  See screenshot for more/better info.

Just a WAG, but do you have a minimum free space set on that share?

What if you try to move the files with Midnight Commander?  Do you get the same result, or does it work?

shouldn't have any min limit, plus I recently added 4TB more space to the array.  Screen shot shows that the "backup" drive has 3.11TB available.  This just started today, but I don't think I made any changes to anything to have caused it.  I was sure that rebooting would fix it, but it hasn't.

I have Simple Features GUI, active streams, and s3 sleep (updated version) loading from /boot/plugins/.  I also have sabnzbd, sickbeard, couch potato, APC & cache dirs loading from /boot/config/

This has worked fine for the last week.

I installed the vfs_recycle plugin a couple days ago, and hadn't had any problems before this one today.  I have renamed the plugin, so it's not loading now, but the problem persists.

As another test, I just created a folder on backup, then cut/pasted a file from my local machine to that drive, and it saved fine.  I then moved that file to the folder which contains the subfolder giving me issues, and that went fine.  I then moved it to the subfolder giving issues, and that went fine.

I then copied a different file from the folder, and it would not copy to the subfolder.

it's related to the folder, subfolder, or files in particular it seems.

I think I tracked it down to one offending file.  I deleted the file and everything seems okay at this point.

Never mind, sorry for the noise.

SimpleFeatures is not compatible with unRAID v5. The Github GUI is the intended replacement but it is still has many of the same problems as Simplefeatures.
