movie/tv metadata lookup/download and file move/rename

Featured Replies

I am looking for something that works like sorttv.pl (sourceforge) but that can run on unRaid 5.0 Pro.

I have a 6 drive (5x 1TB + 1TB parity) array plus 500GB cache with cache-only /apps/ folder and a 2TB ext4 volume mounted outside of the array that is full of movies & tv series that need to be renamed and moved to the array.  Couchpotato is failing on the movies ("[tato.core.plugins.scanner] Couldn't find any movie files for blade runner 1982") and Sickbeard doesn't seem to want to do anything, and I don't really need them anyway if I can find a renamer that uses thetvdb and imdb for metadata lookups.

Anyone with any suggestions?

sorttv.pl needs some perl modules that won't install (unmenu and trolley both installed)

Video Buddha need wxPython, have not found an unraid package for that.

Filebot and Phoenix Renamer both need Java, which I need to install and try next.

Anyone with pointers here?

It would be helpful to know what the errors are. Potentially you can use trolley to install any slackware lib necessary.

I don't know of anything that runs on UnRAID, but I've used a couple of Windows ones that work well:

MetaBrowser (runs as a service which is nice)

Media Center Master (can run continuously, but asks you if there is a couple of options so you can pick the right IMDB movie)

Media Companion (only for XBMC)

MetaBrowser and Media Center Master do have costs associated with them, but it's reasonable. Media Companion is completely free, but only works for XBMC (the others can create nfo files for Boxee, JRiver and others).
