December 22, 201312 yr I'm seeing this msg about the usb disk in my syslog: Dec 20 15:14:24 UNRAID kernel: FAT-fs (sda1): Volume was not properly unmounted. Some data may be corrupt. Please run fsck. Is this something i should be worried about? Should i run fsck on the usb stick? syslog.zip
December 25, 201312 yr Run checkdisk on the flash in a Mac or PC. How are you shutting down the system? Use only the GUI.
December 25, 201312 yr Author I never use the gui. I open a telnet and run the powerdown script... isn't that what the gui does as well? Also what the UPS does (if needed, never had to use it).
December 25, 201312 yr Author Well, the powerdown script 1.02 did not work with v5 properly anymore so i had to reset the machine by hand... i think that caused it.
December 27, 201312 yr Author Ok, ran chkdsk /f on the usb stick, found no errors. But after restarting, the message was gone. Will keep an eye on it next time i need to reboot.
