Can't Seem to Upgrade Parity Disk

Featured Replies

I've been needing my parity disk upgraded for some time, and I finally got around to buying two 3TB drives to do it. I followed the instructions, I precleared both drives successfully, and I have tried each as the parity. It fails each time (while taking all day first, of course).

I took the array offline, removed the parity drive, brought the array back online, took it back offline, switched to the new parity, let it sync, it failed. Did the same thing with the other one, same result.

I don't want to believe both drives are faulty, but that's all I've got.  Log attached (both failures), I'm on 5.0.1.

Have you tried running the upgrade with all plugins removed?

Finished looking through your log and your addons skrewed up the libraries needed for partitioning a disk beyond 2.2tb. In order to proceed you must uninstall/remove all addons and plugins and boot unraid in stock mode.

Thanks so much for looking at this! :)

Do you mean to go to pkg_manager and click each package and "disable re-install on boot"? Or do I need to wipe the USB flash drive with a virgin install?

Again, thank you for your time and generosity, and happy holidays!

Choose safe mode from the boot menu
