January 7, 200917 yr Hello I've been using unRAID for a few weeks now and it's been great, however I recently did a Parity-Check and it found 1 error. So I did another check and again with 1 error and finally another check this time finding 0 errors. Then perhaps a week later I did another check and this time there are 2 errors. (I tried to attach a 40kb screenshot but I wasn't allowed). Do I need to worry much about this or should I look into it further - I have seen people refer to a syslog in other posts how do I access this? Secondly, I have four user shares all set to "High-Water" but when I robocopied all my content over the first time only Disk 1 was used and the copy failed due to the drive filling up. So I populated the array manually and then I noticed that high water started working. I was using 4.4-beta-2 at the time. Now I'm using 4.4 and it doesn't seem to be working again - tonight I copied 14GB over and it went to disk 1 which has the least space. Something that attracted me to unRAID in the first place was it's ability to make the actual disks transparent so I'm hoping this is something I'm doing wrong rather than by design. I couldn't see a 4.4 support forum so hope is okay to post here. Any help greatly appreciated!
January 7, 200917 yr Sorry, there is a bug in 4.4 which prevents split level from working correctly. Please upgrade to 4.4.1.
January 7, 200917 yr Author Thanks I will install it this evening. I've also done a lot of reading in the unRAID Wiki (in particular Best of the Forums and Troubleshooting Gudie) which I should perhaps have done before asking re the sync errors and syslog. There is some excellent stuff in there which has helped my understanding a lot. I will inspect the SMART data on each disk to see if I can find any clues and go from there.
