Okay I really have not loaded up this unRAID yet. But from what I have been reading about it. It sounds like its kind of a OS that binds any type of storage to build a RAID Array. So If I understand that part correctly. I want to know if I can do this?

Can I use a Dell S45 CS24-SC with 4 SATA drives with unRaid. Then Run windows 2008 Virtually from the Array I setup in unRAID? Just trying to figure out how I would be able to use unRaid. in this hardware instead of a raid card in this server.

This question could be in the wrong location. but I thought it would fit best here. sense I think I would have to virtulize something to do what I'm asking.
