Windows Explorer (Network Drives) causing Unraid to spin up all drives on Login?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Big problem (for me) short:

It seems that my PC (windows 8.1) is causing my Unraid Rig to spin up every damn Drive assigned to my Network Drives on this Machine.

do you guys know a possibility to stop that behavior without losing the comfort of using SMB Network drives ?

best regards

Christoph

I recommend using cache_dirs to fix this.

Turn off the thumbnail images in window's explorer.

Thank you Joe !

That did it for me until now.

When the problem occurs again, I will try to use "cache_dir" (thank you for your recommendation Kevin !)

I Will mark this as solved.

best regards

Christoph
