garycase Posted January 8, 2014 Share Posted January 8, 2014 Yes, either is a good choice. I wouldn't mix them, however => just pick the one you want to use and go with it. I've used both and they're both excellent. The Seagate NAS units run slightly faster than the WD Reds, but both have sustained data rates well above the transfer rate of a Gb network, so the slight speed difference doesn't matter. Both have been VERY reliable. Link to comment
