January 10, 201412 yr I am looking for some sort of stand/rack/case to store some 3.5" hard drives I have laying around. Probably something that would hold 5-6 drives. Any ideas?
January 10, 201412 yr I had a very similar problem with hundreds of drives to store. Eventually i settled on Ikea Samla 701.029.72 boxes. They are cheap, strong, clear and when full of drives a decent fit and with lids can stack http://www.ikea.com/de/de/catalog/products/70102972/
January 10, 201412 yr I have a few dozen of these -- they work very well: http://www.amazon.com/DriveBox-3851-0000-11-Hard-Disk-Case/dp/B004UALLPE ... you can store them vertically; stack them; etc. -- and it's easy to label them on the spines.
January 10, 201412 yr too expensive? ... at $5 each?? Although I admit I kinda thought the same thing until I finally broke down and bought a box of them ~ 4 years ago. They are REALLY nice and work perfectly for drive storage, so I've since bought 4 more dozen ... and in fact just ordered another box today
