January 10, 201412 yr I've managed to get everything done in Mint, except the make the USB-stick bootable. Any tips on how to do that? I don't have access to a Windows computer.

Try syslinux -s /dev/sdx1 with the appropriate device instead of sdx There's now a file ldlinux.sys on the drive, so I think it worked. Now to test it. Thank you! edit: yeppers, worked! Was able to install unRAID, and have access to it from my desktop. Thank you again for the quick response, jonathan!
