stonestech
Hello all, I need some help from the unraid community! I have spent the last couple days trying to fix this network issue but I'm going in circles. So time to call in some backup. I upgraded from 4.7 to 5.0 (4.7 was working fine) now I can't get my laptop to see the server under network or it shows it but when I click on the server I get can't find connect error. I can connect to the sever via a web browser so I'm hoping I just need to adjust some settings. Thanks to all Quote Link to comment
nacat78
did you try via the ip address of the server? if a static one is not resevered within the router, hook a monitor and keyboard to the server itself and try to find the ip address ->login with root then type ifconfig to see what ip address was assigned from your modem/router. nacat78
Verify that your SMB settings are correct and enabled and make sure that your individual shares have the correct security settings: Export- Yes / Security - Public. Did you run new permissions after migrating to 5.0? Quote Link to comment

nacat78
for the workgroup name try "mshome" lowercase to see if that makes any difference, i haven't seen a difference with the local master setting... BTW you don't have to have your disk1 thru disk7 shares included unless you want them that way, your user shares will still function... also make sure that when you are starting the array that the maintenance mode isn't checked Quote Link to comment

Galacticus
How do you delete the saved Windows credentials? I had the same problem, resolved it by changing the name of my server. Quote Link to comment
