Help broken my server

Featured Replies

Hi

My server is setup with parity, 5 data drives, cache drive and a drive controlled my S.N.A.P which mounts as /mnt/disk/Apps/.

On the Apps drive i have:-

mysql for central xbmc database

sabnzb

sickbeard

couchpotato

headphones

I tried to open xbmc today and it failed to load as it couldnt access the mysql database on my server. I tried stopping and starting mysql but that didnt help. I then tried stopped mysql/sabnzb/sickbeard/couchpotato/headphones, stopped the array and rebooted the server.

When I then went back into the check the plugin had started back up i had the warning message that my data was persistant and checking all my data and settings had gone. I now cant access the Apps share in windows either

I can access the Apps mount in telnet and can still see the data for the plugins but the sql seems to have gone.

Can anyone help me get back up and running? What have i done wrong as i thought using a non array disk with snap would keep my plugin data after reboot?

Huh.

I suspect a file system problem on the drive connected via SNAP.

Your config is a bit over my head, (so use caution) but what I'd do is stop unRAID.

I'd unmount the App drive.

You don't say what format the APP drive is in, but I would run a Check Disk / Disk Utility / Reiserfsck on it to verify the file system.

That may be easier from your (PC / Mac / terminal into unRAID), depending upon your comfort level.

I'd do this as 'verify only' and not 'write/fix/rebuild/correct errors' until you see what response comes back.
