January 18, 201412 yr Is there anything special to upgrade from 5.0 to 5.0.4? Can I jump directly to it by copying the bzimage and bzroot files over or is there anything that I have to be careful of?
January 19, 201412 yr Just a note on this. When I upgraded from 4.7 to 5.0, I was able to continue using root to access my share. Once I went to 5.0.4, I had to create a new user. I just wanted to point this out in case you're using a jukebox or other front end that requires a fixed path to your media. Since my SQL skills were nil, I had to rebuild my jukebox on my PCH A-400 and updating the artwork was rather time consuming. I've sinced learned the SQL commands would've been a lot easier but I also took the time to add local artwork to my database in case I need to rebuild it again. Anyway, I think the new user thing was supposed to be part of 5.0 so I'm not sure why mine was working. I did run the security script upon upgrading to 5.0 as well. Just thought I'd mention it.
