I'd like to know this as well.  I attempted to contact supermicro about the firmware update to see if I could get some release notes and got this extremely unhelpful response...  Side note, I bought it on Newegg.

    I experienced the same with supermicro, although on a different issue.

    Not very friendly nor helpful their support...

    Well I got another response now, also not exactly helpful, maybe someone else can decipher this.
