2 unraid boxes + virtualization server

Featured Replies

i made some changes to my media storage setup,

i used to run an esxi server with a couple vms, two of which were unraid instances. each unraid had access to a 20 or 24 disks das, via a passed through ibm m1015/chenbro ck23601 combination.

it's all chronicled here skynet + hal & wopr (esxi head + 2 unraid das)

but based on all the virtualization discussions that have been going on recently, i decided i wanted to run unraid bare metal, so i devirtualized (unvirtualized?) my two unraids and converted the esxi host to a linux host, running zfs, docker and kvm.

i've written a couple more details in my blog post Dockerization
