January 29, 201412 yr I'm not sure what's going on. I have a cache drive, I can copy files to the cache drive but when the mover engages I get the following: Jan 29 01:08:32 mediaserver emhttp: shcmd (113): /usr/local/sbin/mover |& logger & Jan 29 01:08:32 mediaserver logger: mover started Jan 29 01:08:32 mediaserver logger: moving Jukebox/ Jan 29 01:08:32 mediaserver logger: moving Movies/ Jan 29 01:08:32 mediaserver logger: ./Movies/Blu-ray/BEAUTIFUL_CREATURES_2013/Beautiful Creatures.(2013).iso Jan 29 01:08:32 mediaserver logger: .d..t...... ./ Jan 29 01:08:32 mediaserver shfs/user0: shfs_mkdir: mkdir: /mnt/disk8/Movies/Blu-ray/BEAUTIFUL_CREATURES_2013 (30) Read-only file system Jan 29 01:08:32 mediaserver logger: .d..t...... I check disk8 and there is no directory matching the above... I cannot move any files from cache... Anyone know whats up?
January 29, 201412 yr The Mover is unable to create the folder to hold the Beautiful_creatures video. The Mover is being denied access to WRITE to the disk. Could be your setup, or could be a problem with the filesystem on disk8. Post a full syslog. If this same setup has worked well before and hasn't been changed recently, go ahead and run Reiserfsck on disk8 and have it scan for errors. See this: http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php?title=Check_Disk_Filesystems
February 3, 201412 yr Author Ok your suggestion to run Reiserfsck worked like a charm. Found 2 errors on the disk and fixed them. Mover is functioning again. Thanks
