pyrater
In my desktop, when I download a torrent, the HD usage goes up to 100% and freezes the PC for about 10-30 seconds. When I DL the same file to a SSD in my desktop its fine no freezes. (DL speed does not seem to have a effect on the freezing). So my thought is that this drive is either A: going out and need replaced B: needs to be "fixed" with some kinda of software tools. I figured there has to be a HD guru on here somewhere =). Any advice is appreciated. PC Specs for ref: CPU = AMD FX 8320 (4.0 GHZ) watercooled RAM = 8GB 2133 Ripjaws MOBO = 970A-G46 (MS-7693) 2.0 HD = Hitachi HDT721010SLA360 [Hard drive] (1000.20 GB) -- drive 0, SMART Status: Healthy SSD = OCZ-SOLID3 [Hard drive] (60.02 GB) -- drive 1, SMART Status: Healthy Windows 8.1 with all updates Connection = 150 MB down / 50 MB UP Pic of whats going on: Quote Link to comment
vl1969
Run defrag. It usually happens on drives that are very fragmented and do mot have alot of space left. Sent from my SGH-T889 using Tapatalk Quote Link to comment
