Supermicro AOC-USAS2-L8i/Chenbro CK22803

Recommended Posts

On my system, I have a mobo with 6 SATA ports and a Vantec 2 SATA port card. All connected at 6.0 Gb/s.

I then have a Supermicro AOC-USAS2-L8i card which then feeds a Chenbro CK22803 SAS Expander. They are rated for 6.0 Gb/s per port, but the disks I have plugged into them are only connected at 1.5 Gb/s instead of 6.0 Gb/s. Anyone know or seen this before?

Edit: I read the stickied thread about IR/IT modes etc...I am not real savvy about all that. Could someone in layman's terms let me know based on the cards I do have, which firmware/config I should have them set to for optimal operation?
