February 3, 201412 yr I like to run Asset uPNP Server on my unraid test-server hardware. Unfortunately there isn't an unraid build of Asset, for now it is Windows only. So what would be the best way to accomplish this. Is it possible to run Windows inside unraid? would it be easier and better to install ESXi and run a Windows 7 and unraid VM? How do I built these vmdks then. Can this environment be UPS protected? Asset should access my music share Snd stream it to several iDevices. The hardware consists of a Supermicro X8SIL-F mainboard, X3460, 8 GB memory and SAS2LP-MV8 controller. Is this at all possible?
February 3, 201412 yr Author Thanks? Any prerequisites? Does it run on any hardware. It doesn't need ESXi? Can you give more details for someone just starting with this? My test server runs an older version of unraid. 5.0beta 12a
