February 6, 201412 yr I want to gain temporary access to my original MySQL install which has locked me out since moving to production 5 versions I believe due to the 'root' account not having a password. Is it therefore viable that I can temporarily downgrade to either a beta v5 or even my old 4.7 in order to gain access to the MySQL data, extract and then re-instate 5.0.5? Will this cause any issues? is this feasible?
February 6, 201412 yr You can downgrade by restoring the older files to the flash. Just reverse the upgrade instructions.
February 6, 201412 yr Author Cheers. The how I was comfortable with, it was the question of potential issues I was concerned about.
