Featured Replies

Hi, I recently moved and my unraid server was ignored for a long time. now i made a new HTPC and connected it to my unraid server

however, I cannot access it through the web. I ran ifconfig on the actual unraid tower and I do not see an ip under eth0

can anybody help me get my unraid server back up

i attached a photo of my unraid screen and my syslog: http://www.imagebam.com/image/a0ae14306851085

thank you so much in advance, im desperate

EDIT': i bought 2 unraid usbs a few years ago, so I tried my second usb key. this has the same problem, no ip detected in eth0

Stupid question, but is your unraid server actually connected to your network? Using the correct port if there are more? I had this myself once ;) Check your router also to see if it is listed.

The picture shows "link up"  My guess is to check cabling and/or reboot router. Do you have a dhcp reservation for unRAID in your router?

You say you 'moved.'  Did you change internet providers, too?

(The unRAID network.config file on the flash has a line that looks like this:

GATEWAY="192.168.1.1"

not all internet gateways use this address...I've also seen 192.168.2.1)

I didn't change isp

My unraid. server is actually directly connected to my htpc, theres no router. Does this not work?

DHCP will not work this way I do not believe, you would have to assign static ip and place on same subnet of the xbmc. But to be honest a cheap router is easier...

Or turn on Internet Sharing on the PC.

Thank you, this fixed my problem
