Issue's Booting

Featured Replies

So I just built my server and I'm testing with the free Unraid build. Here are my specs:

GA-MA74GM-S2 Mobo

4GB Gskill 2x2GB

Athlon x2 5000

CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V PSU

Tried with different USB sticks.

Right now I'm using a 1GB Sandisk Cruzer formatted to FAT since FAT32 doesn't seem to like Gigabyte boards.

The issue is during boot, after I choose UnRaid and it starts scanning the hardware it freezes at a different point each time. I'm not exactly sure what is happening. I tried the same USB stick on a notebook and it booted just fine. Also, bzroot takes a while to complete..

For example right now it's sitting at:

[ 85.553146] eth0: RTL8168b/8111b at 0xf8820000, 001f:d0:9f:bb:32, IRQ 0

Just rebooted and now it froze at:

[ 89.609626] Checking if this processor honours the WP bit even in supervisor mode.... Ok.

I've tried updating Syslinux to 3.72, I've tried unRAID version 4.3.3, 4.2.4, and 4.4.2.

I've updated my bios from F1 to F3.

Right now I'm running memtest, so far it is not reporting any errors.

Thanks.

What was your resolution?  (It might help another beginner who follows in your path)

I didn't put a solution because it was kind of a stupid issue. I edited my post to include version 4.4.2 as it was booting because I assumed it would not work.. But it did. I guess all revisions below 4.4.2 have compatibility issue's with my hardware.
