February 16, 201412 yr Thinking of moving from WHS v1 to an unRAID server....I have one question I could not seem to find an answer to though. I currently have 3 2tb data drives so the basic license should be all I need. I also back up my server to an external USB approx once a week just so I have a copy of all my data that is not always running. If I connect this external drive to my unRAID server, would it count as a 4th drive requiring a Plus license? Just need to know if I would need to account for $70 to back up to USB or if it would only be seen as a backup drive and not counted towards the license. Thanks!

February 17, 201412 yr ... I currently have 3 2tb data drives so the basic license should be all I need. ... With "basic" license you can only have two data drives. The third one would be parity drive.
