Drive failing, how do I remove it?

A drive is failing, it had errors (shown on the tower page http://i.imgur.com/p9KJjyC.png), and it seems to have shrink from 1tb to 300gb usable (http://i.imgur.com/v1ztgJx.png). I guess those sectors failed (http://i.imgur.com/BP2DBEO.png). I have already copied the files out to another drive.

 

I do not wish to replace the drive FOR NOW, but I want to remove the drive. Currently the tower main page shows disk2 as Not installed, even though it is mounted and files can be accessed. Is it safe???

 

The parity option seems missing as well? http://i.imgur.com/kwT8SpA.png

 

How can I do it so disk2 isn't in use anymore? (and other disks remain untouched)

 

And if I wish to replace disk2 next time, how do I go about doing that?
